We take the health and safety of our patients and staff very seriously and in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic we are following CDC protocols and guidelines to take every necessary precaution to protect our patients and staff during this time.
We are still offering in-office appointments for our patients that require a face to face visit with the doctor. However, we are taking very strict measures to ensure the safety and health of our patients and staff. We sanitize our office repeatedly throughout the day, especially in between patients!
If you have an in-office appointment we ask that you follow some important steps to assist in this process…..
We are currently offering our patients the option of a Televisit in place of an in-office visit during the current COVID-19 pandemic. A Televisit is a safe and secure way for you to connect to your doctor through a video and audio connection either on your smartphone or computer that has video and audio capabilities.
We ask that you check with your insurance company prior to your visit to ensure that your insurance provides coverage for tele-visits. Please be prepared to pay a copay as similar to a regular office visit as indicated by your particular insurance plan.
We request that prior to your Tele-visit, please complete our Telehealth consent form and return it to our office.
Prior to your scheduled televisit appointment, you will be sent either an email or a text which you will indicate at the time of scheduling. Our office uses the telehealth platform form Doxy.me. The text or email will have a link provided for you to click on to connect. Your internet browser will be supporting your video chat session and it is best to use Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari. You will then be asked to give permission for the program to access your microphone and camera, be sure to say YES to both so you can hear and see the doctor. You will then be connected and asked to wait momentarily while the provider connects. We ask that you try and connect through Doxy.me at least a few minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you have any problems connecting for the televisit, please call our office promptly.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
We are conducting all endoscopy procedures with a strict protocol being followed by the staff at the Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center and Inova Loudoun Hospital to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. As of 5/17/21 per INOVA Health System Policy and at Dr. Wasan’s discretion MOST FULLY VACCINATED patients will not require COVID testing and all unvaccinated patients will be required to get COVID-19 testing within 72 hrs prior to their endoscopy procedure and are expected to quarantine after testing until the day of their procedure. In addition, the surgery center and hospital are also not permitting anyone but the patient into their facilities until further notice. Patients are to be dropped off and picked up by their designated driver who can expect a follow up phone call from the doctor immediately after the procedure. Please see Endoscopy Case Guidelines form.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
